Open water swim coaching at Milton Country Park
Most of my coaching takes place at Milton Country Park as part of the Cambridge Sport Lakes Trust open water swimming programme. It’s a beautiful open water swimming spot set in large wooded parkland just outside Cambridge.
I swim with groups and 1-1 clients, making it a fun and immersive experience. Options to swim independently during open swim sessions mean you can make it a regular habit, shared with others.
Coached drop-in evenings are now on selected Mondays. A change from Wednesdays. These sessions help you maintain your progress and swim friendships gained during the courses

One to one open water swim coaching

We will talk or email about what you want and confirm the time and venue.
Are you looking to improve your efficiency or speed? Do you need to work on open water specific skills such as being able to sight and swim along others? Are you planning for an open water swim event?
As well as focusing on swimming goals I will start the session with a safety and acclimatisation briefing. I will guide you through a number of teaching or coaching phases, use short videos to capture any adaptations you make, and exchange feedback with you afterwards.

£50 for 1 person , or £60 for 2 people for an hour.
In early or late season colder water (April and October) 30-minute sessions work best (£30 for one person and £40 for 2 people) depending on needs.

I will brief about the venue and facilitate a sociable occasion, adding in your challenges if you want to complete a circuit or swim for a set time.
We can chat about technique and use photos and short videos to capture the occasion and observe where adjustments could be made.

Lifeguarding Services
I am qualified, up to date and in regular work as a lifeguard. Do you need one off support or for a series of swims that require lifeguard services? If it’s for a bigger event I can connect you with an event crew organiser, experienced in the region and beyond to discuss your needs.
