How to acclimatise before your swim

Avoid cold water shock in waters below 16 degrees. Follow this routine that takes as long as this short video! It is safe practice, and sets yourself up physically and mentally for a better open water swim.

What to bring for a summer open water swim

These are some of the basics in response to questions to Toeinswim. I could of course add sun cream lotion and insect repellent too!

Warmer swim wear including wetsuits and drying robes is a whole other open water swimming topic for below 17 degrees water temperature or thereabouts, depending on your preferences.
